Major updates bring integrated media playback, deeper immersive workflows and AI‑driven system tuning.

HARMAN Professional Solutions has announced the release of FLUX:: SPAT Revolution 26.04 and MiRA 26.04, introducing a wide range of new tools aimed at immersive audio production, live sound, and system optimisation. These updates improve workflow efficiency, expand creative possibilities, and add smart analysis and tuning features for real‑world deployments.

Notably, this is the first major SPAT Revolution upgrade in two years, with meaningful additions for fixed installations, live productions and content‑driven immersive environments.

SPAT Revolution 26.04: A major step forward for immersive audio workflows

SPAT Revolution 26.04 introduces Multi Media Recording and Playback, a new feature that allows immersive sessions to be captured, stored and replayed directly within SPAT—no external playback hardware required. The built‑in media player supports timeline‑based playback, multiple stored timelines per session, and live object mixing in parallel.

For live engineers, this opens up a powerful workflow: reuse pre‑produced immersive content while retaining real‑time creative control during a performance.

A new Cue Sequencer expands SPAT’s show‑control capabilities, allowing users to define programmable events triggered by internal logic or external signals. This enables automated, condition‑based system behaviour and tighter integration with complex live productions and installation control systems.

Also new is the Morphed Protection Zone, which adapts protection zones to real‑world venue geometry instead of relying on a fixed circular shape. The result is more consistent level behaviour and smoother spatial transitions for moving sources—particularly useful in asymmetrical or architecturally complex spaces.

SPAT Revolution 26.04 adds Audio Definition Model (ADM) import, allowing Dolby Atmos ADM‑WAV files to be loaded directly from compatible DAWs and rendered into any immersive space—without rebuilding automation or exporting stems. This preserves the original creative intent while making SPAT a flexible playback and rendering tool for museums, exhibitions, live events and dynamic installations.

The updated SPAT Revolution plug‑in provides full control of spatial parameters directly from leading DAWs, including Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Nuendo, Logic Pro and Reaper. For the first time, integrated FLUX:: processing—covering source, room and output channel processing—is embedded directly into the SPAT audio chain, marking the first phase of unifying over 25 years of FLUX:: signal‑processing expertise into a single immersive workflow.

Additional enhancements include:

  • Object movement animation for precise, repeatable spatial behaviour
  • Expanded sync options via LTC, MTC and Ableton Link
  • Advanced sub‑matrix tools for managing large loudspeaker systems
  • A redesigned user interface with customizable layouts, improved navigation and expanded language support, including Chinese and Japanese

MiRA 26.04: Faster, smarter system tuning

MiRA 26.04 focuses on improving measurement speed, accuracy and accessibility, with new AI‑powered Auto EQ functionality designed to simplify system tuning for users at any experience level. Users can define target curves, then automatically generate EQ settings using FLUX::’s AI‑based algorithm—reducing manual effort while improving tuning consistency across systems.

Native support for HARMAN with OF target curves ensures alignment with established tuning standards and expected performance outcomes.

MiRA 26.04 also introduces support for an unlimited number of simultaneous input streams, with up to 24 channels per stream, enabling parallel analysis of complex systems in real time. Improved workflows for MiRA Live and Ultimate users include multiple computed curves per session, automated measurement sequences for sequential captures, and RTA‑based measurements without requiring a reference signal.

The updated loudness meter adds PLR (Peak‑to‑Loudness Ratio) and PSR (Peak‑to‑Short‑Term Loudness Ratio) metrics, offering deeper insight into system dynamics. Other refinements include an updated I/O configuration page, an improved auto‑colour capture system for visual clarity, and a new daylight mode for better visibility outdoors and in bright environments.

“SPAT Revolution 26.04 and MiRA 26.04 represent an important step in how immersive productions are created, managed and delivered,” said Gael Martinet, Director of Software Development at FLUX::. “By bringing playback, processing and control into a single environment, these updates reduce workflow fragmentation and give users more flexibility across a wide range of applications.”
