JBL 306P MkIII is the most acoustically balanced option in the 3 Series MkIII family. It gives project studios, producers and engineers more low-frequency extension and more headroom than the 305P while avoiding the larger footprint of the 308P.
The new high-frequency driver works with a re-engineered JBL Image Control Waveguide to maintain a consistent 120 x 90 degree coverage pattern. The result is a wider useful listening area, exceptional stereo imaging and a focused center image that helps users make mix decisions with confidence.
The low-frequency system is new as well. The 6.5-inch driver combines stiffer cone materials, a new 20 oz magnet assembly and aluminum shorting ring to improve power handling and reduce distortion. Bass extends to 43 Hz, and the front-firing JBL Slipstream port helps the monitor behave more predictably on desks, on stands, or in close proximity to walls and other surfaces.
A new 110-watt bi-amplified Class D amplifier delivers clean headroom up to 112 dB peak SPL. The balanced Neutrik combo input jack accepts XLR or TRS connectors. The user-selectable +4 dBu / -10 dBV input sensitivity allows for simple configuration when connecting to other audio equipment.
The 306P MkIII also includes 81 corrective EQ combinations from four one-touch controls, making it easy to adjust for placement on desks or stands, wall distance compensation, and tonal balance.
Eight integrated M4 mounting points and a 75 x 75 mm pattern are included, so the same monitor can work as a stereo pair, in a 2.1 system with the 310S MkIII, or as part of a larger surround or immersive setup.
