JBL 308P MkIII is the larger-format 8-inch monitor in the 3 Series MkIII family, built for users who want the deepest low-frequency extension from a two-way monitor. The 308P is well-suited for electronic music, EDM and DJ productions, composition, and other production workflows where the kick drum, bassline, synth, or cinematic score is a priority.
The high-frequency tweeter is fully redesigned for greater detail and linear excursion. A redesigned JBL Image Control Waveguide supports this new driver and maintains a consistent 120 x 90 degree coverage pattern, helping the stereo image stay focused across a wider working area in larger rooms.
The redesigned 8-inch woofer is the center of the 308P MkIII story. It uses stiffer cone materials, a new 20 oz magnet assembly and aluminum shorting ring to support controlled, lower-distortion bass down to 41 Hz. The front-firing JBL Slipstream port helps keep low-frequency response more predictable when the cabinet sits near a wall, on a desk, or in a space where placement options are limited.
The 308P MkIII uses 110 watts of bi-amplified Class D power and reaches up to 113 dB peak SPL, giving it the output and headroom needed for larger rooms. The balanced Neutrik combo input jack accepts XLR or TRS connectors. The user-selectable +4 dBu / -10 dBV input sensitivity allows for simple configuration when connecting to other audio equipment.
Like the rest of the MkIII monitors, the 308P includes 81 corrective EQ combinations from four one-touch controls
Eight integrated M4 mounting points with a 75 x 75 mm pattern are included. That makes it practical as a powerful stereo pair, a main or surround channel, or part of a multi-channel immersive audio monitoring system.
