JBL’s proprietary Array Size Compensation (ASC) filter corrects for different array sizes, while the FIR-based Throw Distance Compensation (TDC) filter compensates air-imposed sound loss, for more uniform sound distribution without having to spend hours measuring and tuning the system. An internal noise generator can be used to test the system without the need for a console.

FUTURE-PROOF NETWORKING

The SRX900 Series supports HARMAN’s new HControl ethernet protocol, which brings advances in stability, reduces network traffic load and removes the need for complex IP addresses. Users can simply set a numerical value to each device for easy identification. Two switched network ports offer simplified networking for daisy-chaining. SRX900 products are equipped with Ethernet ports to facilitate monitoring and configuring the system over the network. Because SRX products use standard Ethernet protocols, customers can take advantage of inexpensive networking products such as Ethernet switches and wi-fi access points.

SEAMLESS SOFTWARE CONTROL

The SRX900 Series’ unified software suite lets users manage system design, control and deployment functions on Windows, macOS, and iOS. Use JBL LAC-3 simulation software for system design and the new, cross-platform JBL Performance application for system management; transfer rigging information via the Array Link iOS/Android companion app. A rear-panel LCD screen provides full on-speaker access to control features, making it easy for users to troubleshoot large systems or configure small systems right onscreen.

THE POWER OF POWERED SYSTEMS

Because SRX900 Series line arrays and subwoofers are self-powered, users never have to worry about matching components or lugging amp racks. Custom Class D amplifiers are designed from the ground up for optimal performance alongside matched SRX900 transducers; amps are passively cooled, with no open holes that could allow water or dust to enter the electronics. A universal switching mode power supply works on any voltage between 100 and 250V, and a low power mode kicks in when no audio is detected, saving energy. Up to eight SRX906 speakers and four SRX910 speakers can be connected to the same power circuit (depending on region), minimizing cable complexities and cutting costs.

FAST, SAFE, EASY RIGGING

SRX900 Series systems are designed for both portable and installed applications and can be deployed in a variety of configurations, from pole-mounted to ground-stacked to flown arrays of up to 16 cabinets. A three-point rigging system, adapted from VTX technologies, makes suspending systems safe and easy, regardless of system size or user experience level. Set splay angles on the ground; cabinets lock into place as the system is lifted. The rear rigging spine serves as an additional heatsink for added cooling. Available accessories include array frames, base plates, pole-mount and truss-clamp adapters, cases, carts and covers.

PRO BUILD QUALITY, INSIDE AND OUT

SRX900 Series line array loudspeakers are housed in reinforced composite enclosures while subwoofers feature 18mm plywood enclosures. FEA-optimised cabinets offer excellent size-to-weight ratio and are acoustically optimized for superior performance: Four large, double-flared low-frequency ports allow airflow even when driving the system to the limit, for natural, effortless bass response; flares control air velocity at the ports’ exit, eliminating interference noise at the grille. CAD-optimized stiffeners minimize flex. Speakers are designed for a clean, modern look, with enclosed side panels and integrated handles. Like every JBL speaker, SRX900 Series models undergo 100 hours of rigorous stress testing to ensure they will perform flawlessly and reliably in real-world conditions.

If you’re unfamiliar with column PAs, they may appear odd-looking at first! The narrow column containing 8×2” drivers is positioned on top of the 10” subwoofer unit which houses the power amplifier, PSU and digital mixer.

Leveraging line-array technology developed for high-end, festival-level PA systems means the audience can hear a clear and focussed sound anywhere in front or to the sides of the PA. Column array speakers carry sound farther and clearer than conventional point source or horn speakers, without the sound having to be too loud or annoying in the front.

Whilst it might appear to be cumbersome having a large column to transport, JBL have split the column into 3 sections (one of which is the rechargeable battery) that can be packed down and housed in the rear of the bass unit for 1-handed transport in and out of the venue!

Remote Controllable Digital Mixer

EON ONE MK2 can be remote controlled using an iOS or Android device via the JBL Pro Connect App – allowing the show to be mixed anywhere in the venue by the engineer, AV Tech or musician in the band. The digital mixer and app features an even more impressive selection of processing than the EON ONE Compact with the inclusion of Automatic Ducking, Automatic Feedback Suppression (AFS), Sub Harmonic Synthesis, as well as Delay effects developed in conjunction with Soundcraft, dbx, and Lexicon.

Rechargeable Battery

EON ONE MK2 can be used on mains or battery power and features a clever removable Battery design where the lowest spacer on the array contains the Battery. Providing up to 6 hours of battery life during normal use, the battery can be easily removed and swapped out during an interval or removed from the array and recharged separately with an optional charging accessory.

Combined with more output than its predecessor (119dB on battery and 123dB on mains), EON ONE MK2 is an amazing option for solo musicians or ensembles looking for a powerful and portable PA for their live shows or even corporate, education, events and rental companies looking for a versatile speaker during their functions. Under the Hood

Digital Mixer and Signal Processing

The real power of the PRX ONE comes when you start to delve into the processing available on its internal digital mixer. Carrying on where the EON ONE MK2 left off, the PRX ONE features the same EQ, Automatic Ducking, Automatic Feedback Suppression (AFS), Sub Harmonic Synthesis found in the MK2 – but with the addition of dbx Compression on every channel and extensive output EQ on the speaker array. These are features that you would find on a touring-level digital mixing console, but they are built directly into the subwoofer of PRX ONE!

The full colour LCD screen provides easy navigation and editing of all onboard processing, the PRX ONE can be remote controlled using the universal JBL Pro Connect app for iOS and Android devices. The same device running the JBL Pro Connect App can control a number of PRX ONE’s and EON ONE MK2’s for a larger system or multiple-zone setup.

Control 68HP Two-Way Pendant Loudspeaker

RF Venue, a global leader in antenna and RF wireless communication products, has revealed its Architectural Antenna, a new aesthetically pleasing diversity antenna for use with wireless microphone systems.

The patented cross-polarised Diversity Architectural Antenna is based on the highly successful Diversity Fin Antenna in a virtually invisible footprint.

RF Venue’s diversity antennas provide an ideal easy to install solution to the problem of wireless microphone signal dropouts, and other interferences that are common when using many wireless microphones together with separate paddle antenna pairs.

RF Venue Unobtrusive Invisible Antenna for Wireless Microphones for Corporate Education and Houses of Worship

The Diversity Architectural Antenna installs in minutes, with mounting plates and all necessary hardware provided. Connecting an in-wall or in-ceiling coaxial cable pair to the rear-mounted BNC jacks completes the installation. The flexible installation kit is designed to accommodate multiple mounting configurations including junction boxes, sheet rock, studs and ceiling tiles.

Diversity Architectural Antenna printed specifications indicate that it has been tested with wireless systems between 470-616 MHz, however it is not limited to this range. RF Venue have given assurances that the Diversity Architectural Antenna will work in the 470-698MHz spectrum like other RF Venue antennas.

The Diversity Architectural Antenna is distributed in NZ by JPRO and is now available in New Zealand as of September 2022.
