Getting started with AMX Muse Control Platform

AMX Muse Automation Controllers are robust, secure, and reliable devices designed to harness the power of HARMAN Professional’s AMX Muse automation platform.

To help you begin using Muse as your control system, we offer an AMX Muse online workshop webinar. See below for more information and registration.

Additionally, we provide resource areas for both Muse Automator, which offers intuitive flow-based (drag-and-drop) programming, and for more advanced users, VS Code for script-based programming.

One of Muse’s standout features is its ability to simultaneously process a virtually unlimited number of scripts in JavaScript, Python, or Groovy. It also seamlessly integrates Low-Code development through Node-RED, allowing you to choose the programming style that best suits your needs.

Flow Based Programming

Muse Automator | Low Code

AMX MUSE Automator is an easy to install, customised version of the flow-based programming tool, Node-RED. With Automator, MUSE Automation solutions can be customised by dragging nodes from the palette into the workspace and wiring them together to create logical flows. Many solutions can be programmed without the need to write a single line of code.

MUSE Automator also supports the creation of custom nodes using JavaScript. Fully compatible with standard Node-RED nodes and flows, developers using Automator can benefit from the active online development community creating custom nodes to interface with 3rd party devices and applications.

The MUSE Extension for Visual Studio Code adds a panel to the Explorer which greatly simplifies the interaction with MUSE Automation Controllers. The extension makes it easy to connect to MUSE Automation Controllers and view devices attached to those controllers. Loading and managing scripts on each controller is also made simple through the extension.

AMX worked with Yealink to develop complementary technologies that enable customizable AMX control pages to be seamlessly added to Microsoft Teams Rooms.

Yealink, a leading global unified communications (UC) solution provider, and AMX coordinated to develop complimentary technology to advance the capabilities of Microsoft Teams Rooms installations.

With the combination of Yealink’s Microsoft Teams Rooms solutions and AMX’s control and switching technologies, the familiar UI of Teams on the Yealink MTouch II can be supplemented with customizable controls for any AV devices or environmental controls. Microsoft Teams Rooms can now be leveraged in any room, no matter the size or level of sophistication.

AMX and Logitech have collaborated to create an integration driver for Google Meet hardware.

The integration provides critical room device control pages within the Google Meet application, allowing systems integrators to create custom user interface pages in conjunction with Logitech hardware.

The Logitech portfolio offers a variety of solutions to provide exceptional and consistent user experiences to all sizes of meeting rooms. With AMX, the portfolio extends the exceptional Google Meet experience from the focus room to any space in your campus or enterprise. AMX enables enhanced functionality, such as video distribution, room combine scenarios, multiple microphones, automatic camera follow or switching, and custom room controls on a Google Meet Controller.

Operating on standard IT protocols with a focus on network security, the AMX controller provides simple scalability for environments of any size. The AMX room controls user interface has been jointly tested with Logitech and is supported to work with Google Meet, enabling current and future AMX product interoperability.

With AMX, Logitech, and Google Meet, customers can choose from a wide variety of audio amplifiers, DSP, and loudspeakers along with third-party integration capabilities to suit the needs of their space. This makes it easy to deploy Google Meet in high-value spaces, such as executive boardrooms, training and all-hands rooms, and multipurpose spaces.
