JBL Synthesis strengthens its custom installation high-end home theatre portfolio with four new in-wall speakers, four in-room models, two AV preamps, an AVR and a subwoofer – equipping integrators and designers with greater flexibility, scalability and system-wide performance.

HARMAN Luxury Audio Group has unveiled a major expansion of its immersive audio home cinema lineup, introducing nine new JBL Synthesis Custom Loudspeakers (SCL) alongside three next-generation processing and amplification components.

Rather than focusing on a single flagship product, this launch is about building a bigger, more cohesive ecosystem. As residential cinemas and luxury home installations grow more complex, scalability and system-wide integration are becoming just as important as outright performance.

The loudspeakers, subwoofers, processing and amplification have been developed to ensure consistent voicing, predictable behaviour and scalable performance. For integrators dealing with ever-larger immersive installations, that kind of cohesion is arguably more valuable than any single spec-sheet headline.

Front and centre (no pun!) is a significant expansion of the JBL Synthesis Custom Loudspeaker (SCL) range. All the new models are timbre-matched and designed to work seamlessly within a complete JBL Synthesis system, so whether you’re building a dedicated cinema or a multi-purpose luxury living space, everything is engineered to speak the same sonic language.

ARCHITECTURAL IN-WALL FLAGSHIPS

Leading the in-wall lineup are four new designs aimed squarely at serious cinema rooms:

  • SCL-2XL – The powerhouse of the range, featuring four 8-inch woofers and a high-frequency compression driver. It’s built for high-output LCR and surround duties in large and extra-large rooms, especially behind acoustically transparent projection screens.
  • SCL-4XL – A dual 8-inch configuration that delivers serious scale while offering slightly more flexibility in system design.
  • SCL-6XL – With four 6.5-inch woofers, this model balances performance with installer-friendly integration.
  • SCL-7XL – Featuring an offset HDI horn that precisely directs sound toward the listening area, making it ideal for surround or centre-channel applications where controlled directivity is key.
IN-ROOM AND ON-WALL OPTIONS

Not every premium space allows for cutting into walls, so JBL Synthesis has also expanded its in-room and on-wall offerings.

  • SCL-10XL – Positioned as a flagship in-room or built-in loudspeaker, it uses dual 10-inch woofers to deliver reference-level output behind projection screens or inside custom cabinetry.
  • SCL-10 – A more compact alternative with dual 6.5-inch drivers, designed for medium to large rooms.
  • SCL-9XL – A high-output on-wall model with four 5.25-inch woofers, ideal for immersive systems built around large flat-panel displays.
  • SCL-9 – A slimmer, more design-conscious option that prioritises flexibility without sacrificing performance.

Rounding out the speaker lineup is the SSW-5, a new 12-inch, 1,000-watt powered subwoofer designed to deliver deep, controlled low-frequency performance for mixed architectural and in-room systems.

NEW PROCESSING AND AMPLIFICATION PLATFORMS

Complementing the loudspeaker expansion, JBL Synthesis unveiled three new electronics platforms created to power and manage today’s immersive systems.

  • SDP-70 Immersive AV Processor – The flagship processor, offering 24 channels of processing, expanded flexibility, network-ready architecture, and support for Dirac Live Active Room Treatment (ART).
  • SDP-60 – A 16-channel alternative featuring balanced outputs, Matrix Channel Assignment, and the same Dirac Live ART optimisation tools.
  • SDR-40 Immersive AV Receiver – An all-in-one solution combining 16-channel processing with nine channels of Class G amplification, aimed at delivering high output and efficiency in a more streamlined chassis.

All three platforms support Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced, and AURO-3D, and have been developed to integrate seamlessly with the expanded SCL loudspeaker family.

Jim Garrett, Senior Director for Product Strategy and Planning at HARMAN Luxury Audio said “With this new generation of JBL Synthesis loudspeakers and electronics, we’re delivering the most complete and flexible immersive audio ecosystem we’ve ever offered. From architectural in-wall solutions to in-room loudspeakers and advanced processing platforms, every product is designed to work together as part of a cohesive system. This expansion gives integrators and designers the tools they need to create reference-level cinema experiences.”

JBL Professional Introduces Updated Intellivox Active Digital Beam Shaping Column Loudspeakers now with Dante networked audio support.

JBL Intellivox beam shaping with Dante now in NZ

HARMAN Professional Solutions unveiled the newest generation of JBL Professional Intellivox Active Digital Beam Shaping Column loudspeakers at ISE 2026 in Barcelona. Now upgraded with Dante® networked audio capability, the 13 refreshed models replace all previous loudspeakers in the Intellivox DSX, DS, and HP DS series, delivering stronger performance and broadened functionality. Designed for large or acoustically challenging environments—including transportation hubs, houses of worship, parliaments, theatres, atriums and museums—the new arrays offer superior intelligibility and precise coverage control.

At the core of the redesigned Intellivox lineup is JBL’s Digital Directivity Synthesis (DDS) Beam Shaping technology. By combining premium drivers with sophisticated DSP and integrated multi‑channel amplification, the systems allow users to define exact coverage zones while minimising sound in unwanted areas. This approach significantly improves the direct-to-reverberant sound ratio, ensuring clarity and speech intelligibility even in spaces with difficult acoustics.

The updated column arrays feature a discreet, slim form factor suited for venues where maintaining architectural integrity is essential. Enclosures require no physical aiming, are available in custom finishes, and can be recessed to harmonise with both contemporary and historical structures. Integration options include Dante® and analogue audio inputs, plus IP-based control. Redundant design elements and continuous status monitoring help guarantee dependable performance in mission‑critical installations.

Every model incorporates an electronics module that connects to free WinControl software for straightforward configuration and real-time monitoring. System designers can also take advantage of the DDA (Digital Directivity Analysis) tool, which offers advanced predictive modelling, beam optimisation, and simulation of broader loudspeaker system behaviour.

“These new Intellivox columns expand our offering with Dante® audio networking, adding even greater flexibility,” said Steve Mathis, Senior Product Manager, Installed Acoustics, HARMAN Professional Solutions. “They preserve the precision, sound quality, and industry-leading beam shaping that Intellivox has long been known for. We’re excited to introduce these models and see how they support innovative projects worldwide.”

We couldn’t be prouder to support our users with new possibilities for expanded applications and growth.”

SRX900 SERIES HIGHLIGHTS

COMPLETE ECOSYSTEM
The SRX900 Series supports a wide range of use cases and includes line arrays, point-source models, and flyable or ground-stacked subwoofers. All models share consistent voicing, amplification and DSP, common rigging and accessory options, and a unified software platform that ties the system together.

SOUND QUALITY COMES FIRST
Drawing on transducer technologies developed for JBL’s flagship touring systems, SRX900 delivers clean, detailed sound typically associated with top-tier touring systems. SRX900 woofers are built on JBL’s proprietary Differential Drive dual-voice-coil, dual-gap design.

DIRECTIVITY CONTROL
Directivity has been in JBL Professional’s DNA for decades, with the company pioneering numerous technologies to perfect the science of controlling sound. A system that sounds great at front of house is good, but one that delivers excellent sound throughout the entire venue is truly exceptional.

SOPHISTICATED DSP
SRX900 models include a powerful DSP that provides all the tools needed to optimize and tune a system, including 24-band parametric EQ and 2,000 ms of delay. JBL’s proprietary Array Size Compensation (ASC) filter corrects for the tonal effects of different array sizes.

MAXIMUM PROTECTION
SRX900 incorporates JBL’s advanced LevelMax limiter suite, co-developed with Crown engineers for Crown’s I-Tech HD touring amplifiers. The result is consistent, reliable performance even under the most demanding operating conditions.

FUTURE-PROOF NETWORKING
SRX900 supports HARMAN’s HControl Ethernet protocol, which streamlines network setup and removes the need for complex IP addressing. And because HControl is built on standard networking protocols, systems can integrate cost-effective, off-the-shelf hardware such as Ethernet switches and Wi-Fi access points.

COMPLETE SOFTWARE ECOSYSTEM
SRX900’s robust software ecosystem integrates three powerful tools: JBL Venue Synthesis for 3D acoustic simulation, JBL Performance for system management, and ArrayLink for on-site deployment and configuration. Together, they offer a cohesive and efficient system control experience.

OPTIMUM POWERED PERFORMANCE
SRX900 products are self-powered, eliminating the need for external amplifiers and complicated amplifier racks. The powered architecture enables true plug-and-play operation, with products delivering consistent, great-sounding results right out of the box.

FAST, SAFE, EASY RIGGING
SRX900 Series line arrays feature a three-point rigging system, making suspending systems safe and easy, regardless of system size or user experience level. Point-source products include multiple QuickLink™ M10 attachment points for use with eyebolts and to attach to the comprehensive set of dedicated accessories.

PROFESSIONAL BUILD QUALITY, INSIDE AND OUT
SRX900 Series line arrays use reinforced composite enclosures, while the point-source models and subwoofers feature durable plywood cabinets. As with all JBL professional products, SRX900 models undergo rigorous testing, are built to last, and are backed by a comprehensive 5-year warranty.

15 new models round out a complete 21-speaker lineup to bolster JBL’s Control Contractor offering, providing integrators with a full suite of ceiling speaker solutions with coverage and cost options. With a sleek new design, each model is equipped with user friendly installation features and a bezel-less magnetic grille that seamlessly blends with any environment.

HARMAN Professional Solutions has announced a major expansion to its Control Contractor loudspeaker portfolio with the launch of the JBL Professional Control 400 Standard Coverage Series and Control 400 Premium Coverage Series ceiling speakers. These additions join the previously released Control 400 Enhanced Coverage Series, completing the new-generation Control 400 Ceiling Speaker Family with a comprehensive 21-model lineup.

Designed to deliver JBL’s hallmark sound quality, reliability, and ease of installation across a range of commercial environments, the expanded Control 400 Family introduces a three-tiered approach—Standard, Enhanced, and Premium Coverage Series—giving integrators the flexibility to match coverage consistency and price point to any application.

Building on the legacy of JBL’s popular Control 10, 20, and 40 families, the Control 400 Series introduces a new standard in scalable audio solutions:

  • Standard Coverage Series: Designed for budget-conscious projects without compromising on JBL’s signature audio quality. Ideal for applications requiring performance at an accessible price point.
  • Enhanced Coverage Series: First introduced earlier this year, these models feature JBL’s Coplanar Radiation Boundary Integrator™ (CRBI™), which offers more even frequency response across the coverage area—bridging the gap between cost-efficiency and high performance.
  • Premium Coverage Series: The flagship line, integrating JBL’s advanced Radiation Boundary Integrator® (RBI™) conical waveguide technology to achieve unparalleled directivity control and sonic clarity, particularly in acoustically demanding environments.

“With 21 total models now available, the Control 400 Series delivers scalable, high-fidelity audio options for virtually any commercial environment,” said Steve Mathis, Senior Product Manager, Installed Audio at HARMAN Professional Solutions. “These speakers are built for sonic excellence, installer convenience, and architectural compatibility—hallmarks that have long defined JBL’s installed audio solutions.”

Installation-First Design Philosophy

True to JBL’s commitment to the installer community, the Control 400 Series is packed with practical features that streamline the install process. All models support both top and side cable entry, while captive dogear mounts ensure compatibility with a wide range of ceiling types. Most models come equipped with multi-tap transformers for 70V/100V distributed systems and low-impedance operation, maximizing deployment flexibility.

Aesthetics haven’t been overlooked either. The Control 400 models feature full-face magnetic bezel-less grilles with optional black or square variants, allowing for seamless visual integration into any space. The grilles are paintable and include safety tethers to meet both design and safety demands in professional installations.

Whether deployed in corporate offices, hospitality venues, retail environments, or educational institutions, all models in the Control 400 Family are engineered to deliver clear, consistent, and natural sound across the listening area. The Premium Coverage models, in particular, leverage RBI™ technology to maintain even tonal balance and coverage consistency, ideal for spaces where clarity and intelligibility are non-negotiable.

Standard Coverage Series

The JBL Control 400 Standard Coverage Series ceiling speakers are designed to deliver high-performance audio at accessible price points. Building on the legacy of the iconic Control 10 Series, the range offers reliable, consistent performance in a contemporary form factor suited to a wide range of commercial environments.

Each model in the series features a set of thoughtfully engineered installation enhancements to support safety, efficiency and repeatability. Terminal covers support top or side cable entry, while the proven captive dog-ear mounting system accommodates various ceiling thicknesses for maximum versatility on-site.

Aesthetically, the Control 400 Standard Coverage models are tailored to blend with modern interiors. Each speaker ships with a full-face magnetic grille, paintable for seamless integration, with black and square grille options also available to suit a range of design requirements.

With driver sizes ranging from 3″ to 8″, two low-profile Micro models, and multiple EN54-24 certified variants, the series provides scalable options for virtually any application. The Control 400 Standard Coverage Series delivers excellent sound quality, elegant design, and installation flexibility in an economical package – making it an ideal solution for corporate spaces, hospitality venues, or anywhere in between.

The result is a smooth, balanced sound character that remains clear and consistent across a wide listening area—ideal for acoustically demanding or architecturally sensitive environments.

Installer experience is prioritised through a robust feature set, including terminal covers with both top and side cable entry, secured via captive hand-screws for tool-free access, and JBL’s reliable captive dog-ear system, supporting a variety of ceiling thicknesses with repeatable ease.

All models feature a full-face magnetic grille, paintable to blend into any interior, with optional black and square grille variants available to suit specific design preferences.

Driver sizes range from 2.5″ to 6.5″, including a low-profile model, a narrow coverage option for high-ceiling applications, and a dedicated subwoofer—offering system flexibility for a broad range of high-performance installations.

So.. What is Auracast™?

Auracast™ broadcast audio is a new capability of Bluetooth ® ️LE that allows one source to stream to many devices at the same time. Think of it like a “silent PA system” but one that you can actually hear through your hearing aids, cochlear implants, headphones or smartphone.

Unlike traditional Bluetooth®, which connects one-on-one, Auracast™ enables one-to-many streaming. You don’t need to pair devices or change settings,  just scan, tap, and listen. It’s like Wi-Fi, but for sound.

Next Generation of Assistive Listening is Here

Bettear Auracast™  streaming technology ensures every listener can fully engage with the moment no matter the space. From conference halls and theatres to universities, worship spaces and public venues, Bettear delivers inclusive, high quality audio that elevates experiences, ensures every voice is heard and brings every visitor into the moment.

Watch the Auracast™ meets ProAV webinar to learn what sets Bettear apart is its ability to go beyond accessibility, providing Auracast™ and streaming solutions for:

  • Live Audio Streaming
  • Assistive Listening
  • Tour Guiding
  • Secure Audio in confidential spaces
  • Speech-to-Text Optimisation
  • Audio Personalisation (DAP)
  • Translation and more

Auracast™ How It Works

  1. A venue (theater, museum, or transit hub) installs an Auracast™ compatible transmitter.
  2. The transmitter broadcasts audio such as announcements, music, or speech.
  3. Users join the broadcast using their smartphone, hearing aids, cochlear implants or other compatible devices.
  4. The results? Real-time audio that is clear, reliable, and personal.
STEP 1

An Auracast transmitter begins an Auracast broadcast that includes advertisements, which provide Auracast assistants with information about the broadcast (e.g. name, content, codec configuration, etc.), as well as one or more audio streams (e.g. left and right stereo audio streams).

STEP 2

Auracast assistants scan for Auracast advertisements and provide a user interface (UI) to enable users to select an Auracast broadcast to join, similar to the UI commonly used to connect to Wi-Fi networks in public spaces.

STEP 3

Once an Auracast broadcast is selected, the Auracast assistant provides the Auracast receiver (e.g. headphone, earbud, hearing aid, etc.) the information it needs to join the Auracast broadcast.

Why Auracast™ matters:

Auracast™ is more than just a Bluetooth upgrade, it is a significant leap forward in audio accessibility.

  • Universal access: works across hearing aids, cochlear implants, headphones and smartphones. No need for special receivers.
  • Ease of use: Join by scanning a QR code, selecting from a list, or auto-joining a saved stream.
  • High-quality, precise audio in concerts, lectures, or stadiums – No matter where you sit.
  • Use during tours, in museums, or with guided groups –  Listen directly from your own devices without extra equipment.
  • Consistent quality: Delivers low-latency, reliable sound even in noisy environments, no matter where you sit.
  • Personal control: users adjust their own volume and experience discreetly on their own devices.
  • Scalability: From small classrooms to massive stadiums, Auracast™ adapts to the space without losing quality.

Where you’ll see it in action:

  • Classrooms and Universities – students can listen through their own phones or hearing devices.
  • Museums and tours – Multilingual or accessible audio guides without extra equipment.
  • Transit Hubs – Hear real-time announcements, even in loud crowded spaces.
  • Event venues – let every seat be a front row seat.
  • Hospitals and public offices – Private, clear communication where it matters most.

Frequently Asked Questions

The range will vary depending on environmental factors and receiver specification i.e. earbuds or hearing aids may perform differently to Bettear’s B-RTX (a dedicated Auracast™ Transceiver)

Each B-Caster broadcasts over 100 meters in all directions.  For greater coverage, a B-Caster-S can be used in a daisy chain to expand the range.

It depends on the hearing aid/cochlear implant manufacturer, but most commonly you would use their mobile app on a smartphone or tablet to connect to the Auracast broadcast. The B-Caster would appear in the Bluetooth® pairing list of the app, so you’d simply need to connect to the desired source.

Yes. The Bettear system includes a B-RTX Transceiver, allowing anyone to experience hassle-free audio directly from the B-Caster.

The Bettear B-Caster also supports a Standalone Mode for broadcasting exclusively to Auracast-compatible devices.

In Hybrid Mode, the B-Caster, when paired with a B-Show, can simultaneously broadcast over Wi-Fi to any Wi-Fi-enabled device using the free Bettear App, or integrate with traditional hearing loop systems.

The number of users that can connect to an Auracast™ broadcast is unlimited, if they are in range for the signal. Auracast™ is a true broadcast technology, and the number of people choosing to listen at any given time has no impact on the transmitter or other receiving devices.

Many audio-visual manufacturers are already implementing Auracast™ based technology within their devices. Adoption rates across brands and devices vary, but market expectations are for the incorporation of Bluetooth LE capabilities to increase significantly over the next 2-5 years.

B-Caster supports 1 channel (1 stereo/2 mono)

If more than one pair of audio channels is needed (such as for translations or different screens in a gym), additional B-Casters can be connected to audio sources and used to broadcast on separate streams.

Via the suppled DC in – 12v 2.5A input or PoE+ In

The B-CASTER unique power management circuitry enables network and power chaining between two B-CASTERs or a B-CASTER and a Wi-Fi Access Point, reducing cabling complexity.

2 x Phoenix connectors (balanced)

While there isn’t a dedicated Dante version, you can easily integrate B-Caster into your Dante network using Dante AVIO adapters, which are readily available from JPRO.

Yes, Auracast™ uses the LC3 codec which has a much lower latency compared to AAC or aptX which have 120ms and 70ms respectively.

The B-Caster system supports latency of <40ms. Actual latency will vary with the paired receiver such as earbuds or hearing aids. Humans notice when audio and video are out of sync by about 40–80 milliseconds.

Experiential Museum Operator

For an experiential museum operator, SPAT Revolution can greatly enhance the audio experience for visitors in a way that makes exhibits more immersive and engaging. Here’s an example of how it transforms the visitor experience through dynamic, spatial audio technology.

Imagine visitors walking through an exhibit and hearing sounds that make them feel like they’re truly in a different world—like the sound of footsteps echoing in a cave, birds chirping in a rainforest, or distant chatter in an ancient marketplace. SPAT Revolution lets you place sounds all around them in 3D space, making the experience feel more realistic and lifelike.

1. Dynamic Audio That Changes as Visitors Move: With SPAT Revolution, you can make the sound experience dynamic. As visitors move through different areas of a museum, the sounds will change based on where they are. For example, if someone steps closer to an exhibit, the sounds can become louder or more detailed. This adds a layer of interactivity and makes your exhibits feel more alive.

2. High-Quality Sound Design for Themed Areas: Whether it’s a dark room with eerie music or a bright exhibit with lively sound effects, you can fine-tune how the sounds behave in different rooms. You can adjust things like how “warm” or “echoey” the sound is to match the vibe of each space, helping visitors feel like they are truly part of the scene being set up.

3. Multi-Sensory Experience: Combine sounds with visuals and even physical elements in your exhibits. For example, in an exhibit about space, the sound could feel distant and vast, enhancing the visual experience of seeing stars or planets. SPAT Revolution can make all this audio work in harmony with the visual and physical aspects of a museum, making the experience richer and more memorable.

4. Customisable for Different Spaces: Whether it is in a small room or a large hall, SPAT Revolution can adapt to different spaces. This ensures that no matter how big or small the exhibit is, you can have precise control over how the sound is presented, giving visitors the best possible audio experience.

SPAT Revolution helps turn ordinary sounds into powerful tools for storytelling, creating an unforgettable experience for museum visitors that feels immersive, interactive and lifelike.

Product Features

Most Powerful DSP

Soundweb OMNI represents the most powerful DSP available from BSS, with processing capability that surpasses previous BSS DSP products. The all-new engineering design ensures the seamless handling of today’s most complex installations and positions Soundweb OMNI to be future-ready to meet the evolving needs of tomorrow

Choice of Centralised or Distributed DSP Topologies

Centralised and distributed DSP topologies each come with distinct advantages. Instead of dictating a topology, Soundweb OMNI supports both, allowing system designers the freedom to choose the topology that best aligns with the specific requirements of each project.

One Project, Infinite Devices

System integrators can add as many Soundweb OMNI processors and expanders to a single project file as needed, while still enjoying the simplicity of a single canvas for device configuration. Regardless of DSP topology or device count, AVX Architect software provides a centralized workspace, streamlining the process of constructing, maintaining, and troubleshooting even the most complex DSP designs.

AVX Software Suite

Through user-friendly applications, the AVX software suite streamlines Soundweb OMNI system configuration, control, and monitoring. The AVX Architect app simplifies system diagramming, device configuration, network management, and custom UI design while the AVX Control app enables easy access to custom UIs for controlling and monitoring devices across a multitude of platforms, including Windows, iOS, Android, and AMX Varia touch panels.

Modernised 3rd Party Control API

Soundweb OMNI devices leverage HARMAN’s new HControl protocol, a human-readable, standards-based, developer-friendly API. This intuitive, flexible, and powerful alternative to other protocols positions it as the preferred choice for developers working at any scale.

Dante Spoken Here

Audinate’s Dante audio networking is the world’s most universally adopted networked audio technology, used extensively for commercial installations, live performances, recording and production, and more. Soundweb OMNI ships with its full Dante channel count capability, up to 512×512 to ensure immediate, seamless compatibility with the complete Dante ecosystem.

Private and Public Dante Support

For native-AVX devices such as Soundweb OMNI, integrators can easily create “Private” Dante streams simply by drawing wires between processing objects allocated across devices. This streamlines the device configuration process by allowing AVX Architect to build and protect Dante routes, without the need for external Dante Controller software. This also visually simplifies the layout of otherwise complex DSP designs. For interfacing non-AVX devices, the standard “Public” Dante toolset ensures full compatibility with the entire Dante ecosystem.

BSS OMNI Media Player

128-Channel Internal Media Player

Soundweb OMNI 512p and 256p processors are equipped with a robust 128-channel internal media player, facilitating the playback of pre-recorded audio files directly from an internal 1TB or 500GB SSD. This is useful for announcements, paging chimes, advertisements, background soundscapes and more.

AEC and VoIP Equipped

Supporting up to 160 AEC channels and 64 VoIP lines, Soundweb OMNI processors provide seamless integration capability with building phone systems to ensure efficient and reliable communication.

Multi O/S Platform

AVX Control software is cross-compatible with a wide variety of operating systems, including Windows, Android, iOS, and AMX Varia touch panels, offering versatile options for a diverse user base.

Highest Quality Microphone Preamp

BSS products have earned a renowned reputation for exceptional sound quality, and Soundweb OMNI I/O expansion devices showcase this legacy with the highest quality solid-state microphone preamp ever crafted by HARMAN.

Onboard AMX MUSE Technology

Building on the success of the renowned CP Beam helical and CP Architectural installation antennas, the new CP Stage is a rugged, IP-rated, high-performance circularly polarised antenna designed to deliver reliable wireless audio for in-ear monitor transmitters and wireless microphone systems.

The worlds most reliable antenna for wireless mics and IEMs RF Venue CP Stage helical antenna. No dropout for your performance

Walpole, MA – January 9, 2025 – RF Venue, a leader in professional wireless audio solutions, has unveiled its latest innovation: the CP Stage antenna. Designed to address the growing demands of wireless audio applications, the CP Stage promises a discreet, superior performance for wireless in-ear monitors (IEMs) and microphones, making it a valuable addition for live sound professionals.

Chris Regan, Chief Innovation Officer at RF Venue, emphasises that traditional “paddle” antennas no longer meet the needs of modern audio setups. The CP Stage builds on the success of the company’s CP Beam and CP Architectural antennas, offering a rugged, weather-resistant design ideal for both touring and permanent installations. Whether rain or shine, the CP Stage excels at capturing wireless microphone signals, ensuring a seamless experience for live performances.

“Traditional ‘paddle’ antennas are no longer sufficient for today’s demanding wireless audio applications,” says Chris Regan. “The CP Stage builds on the success of our renowned CP Beam helical and CP Architectural installation antenna in an IP-rated and rugged yet affordable design. It’s ideal for wireless IEMs and, as a diversity pair, excels at capturing wireless microphone signals, rain or shine, night after night.”

The CP Stage antenna is housed in a low-profile, durable enclosure that easily mounts to microphone stands, making it particularly well-suited for touring bands and portable setups. Its IP-rated weather resistance also makes it an excellent choice for fixed outdoor installations, offering flexibility across a range of environments.

“It’s everything I need it to be,” says Drew Ganter, monitor engineer for the legendary band Blue Öyster Cult, who has been an early adopter of the CP Stage. “The CP Stage continues the tradition of reliability I’ve come to expect from RF Venue products.”

The CP Stage employs circularly polarised (CP) technology, which transmits and receives signals in a 360º pattern, ensuring stable communication regardless of performer movement. This makes it an ideal solution for live sound professionals managing complex wireless IEM systems. The antenna covers a wide frequency range (470-928 MHz) and features a compact 25.4cm x 30.5cm x 2.5cm design, which is easy to conceal on stage.

Compact, easy to transport, discreet on stage; CP Stage worked flawlessly
CP Stage successful deployment in Mexico City

Field-tested in Latin America, RF specialist Alejandro Peralta Almaguer of LiveS lauds the antenna for its performance, design, and affordability. “Compact, easy to transport and discreet on stage; CP Stage worked flawlessly in Mexico City’s crowded RF spectrum,” he says.

The CP Stage antenna is now available for purchase, both individually and in convenient multichannel upgrade packs through New Zealand distributor JPRO. More product info on CP Stage can be found here.

Strong Signal.
No Matter the Movement.

Why CP Stage Performs When Others Don’t

Traditional “fin”-style antennas struggle when transmitters move, performers shift, or alignment isn’t perfect. CP Stage uses circular polarization to maintain consistent signal regardless of orientation — dramatically reducing dropouts and interference.

• Transmitters in motion? No problem.
• Mismatched angles? Still solid.
• Crowded RF space? CP Stage holds the line.

Whether it’s a touring artist, worship team, or AV install, clean wireless is everything — and now, it’s finally within reach.

Harman Luxury Audio Group has announced that its new JBL DA Series distribution amplifiers are now available in New Zealand.

Designed to pair seamlessly with any JBL architectural loudspeaker or other residential loudspeakers, the DA850 (8-channel) and DA1650 (16-channel) deliver four and eight zones of audio respectively, in a compact 1U chassis. Both models offer bridgeable outputs to handle high-power demands.

Each channel of the DA850 and DA1650 delivers 50W into 8ohm loads and 110W into 4ohm loads. When bridged, the output increases to 185W into 8ohm loads.

The amplifiers also offer flexible audio routing: each zone can have its own independent audio source, or a single source can be shared across all zones via the global audio input. Zones sharing a common source can be expanded across multiple amplifiers using the global audio output.
